Award-winning author and journalist La Carmina runs the leading alternative Goth fashion / culture blog (www.lacarmina.com/blog), which won "Best Blog of the Year" from Auxiliary Magazine. Based in Vancouver, her journalism was awarded Bronze by the SATW (Society of American Travel Writers) in 2020. Carmina is the author of three books (published with Random House / Penguin), is a TEDx speaker, and appears on travel TV shows worldwide (Bizarre Foods, No Reservations, Taboo, Oddities, Better Late than Never). She contributes to CNN, Fodor's, Business Insider, Time Magazine, Architectural Digest, Yahoo, Sunday Times, House Beautiful, Huffington Post, Tripsavvy, Buzzfeed, BBC, Roadtrippers, and various inflight magazines (Hong Kong Airlines, Aeromexico). She managed dozens of freelancers and wrote over 600 travel articles for Google’s Touring Bird site. La Carmina is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Law School.

In each episode (recorded remotely over Zoom), a notable guest shares a few of their unusual Satanic-related possessions, and the story behind them. These can range from dark jewelry to taxidermy, music, devil-themed books, artwork... we're open to a broad range of possibilities. 

So far, they've filmed episodes with Keroppy Maeda (Japanese body mod artists known for bagelheads), Evan Michelson and Ryan Matthew Cohn of “Oddities,” the family of Kirk Hammett (Metallica), legendary silversmith Alex Streeter (designer of the Angel Heart Ring), and more.
